Jami Sell
For decades, Jami Sell has helped people of all walks of life and of all ages to be free from negative thinking, mental distress and anxiety, obsessions, poor self image, limiting beliefs, wrong teaching, and addictions. He has worked in the public school system, churches, health departments, jails, and various juvenile detention and rehabilitation facilities. He has volunteered his services in schools, churches, Four-H-clubs, the Maryland Student Assistance Program, the Garrett County Addictions Advisory Council, Zero Tolerance Program, and has provided information to the Sheriff’s Department and States Attorney’s offices.
Mr. Sell’s methods and experience illustrate that if a person frees their mind from limiting beliefs then the mind can heal itself and in most cases the body. He believes that in many cases recovery and freedom can be as simple as adopting a new thought pattern and has seen countless people find relief from their thinking in only a short period of time.
Jami describes himself as a simple man of faith who enjoys tranquility. He lives in Oakland, Maryland with his three cats, Ezekiel, Templeton, and Shiloh and depicts them as the best medicine a man could receive!
Rick Wyckoff
Rick has Lost over 100 POUNDS…So far!
“I’ve struggled with my weight nearly my entire life. It’s something that I’ve always wanted to beat, but at one point I had just come to accept the fact that I’d be an obese guy the rest of my life, until February 13 of this year. I had had a bad day and went home and did my normal routine after a bad day… I ordered a pizza and 2 liter and downed everything. That night though, I was up sick and began thinking about my life and what a waste I had become. Right then I decided I needed to change. I woke up the next morning a new person. I started doing some research on how to lose weight and found some videos for inspiration. I came across one video in particular. Eli Sapharti of www.fatboyfitman.com His video really hit home and I decided to contact him. He offers some coaching for those that are serious about weight loss, so I took him on. Since February 13, I’ve lost 101 pounds and 12 inches off my waist, and I am still very determined to get the remaining weight off. I want to the thank folks at the Midland office who have been such a huge source of encouragement for me. Thank you guys SO MUCH! I also have to give a shout out to Eli, who’s been there every step. He’s helped me get through those crisis moments when I felt weak and wanted to splurge. His “One Step at a Time = Success” plan has really made a huge difference for me. Thanks to all the folks at PSC for their support and encouragement. It’s been an incredible journey so far and am looking forward to more.” – Rick Wyckoff

That person not only recovered but they are now very good friends. Well, Christine is at it again. Showing up every day for the last couple of weeks to help sit with a person whom she has never met, a friend of a friend. Talk about Paying It Forward…we just had to have her back. You are a true inspiration Christine). Below includes a picture of Michael in the hospital and also a picture of Chrisitine with Michael’s mother, Nancy. Hi I am Christine Hotchkiss, a mother of two children & unfortunately life’s unexpected happened to me changed my life forever. Losing my oldest and only daughter Nicole Marie Brown presented me a new life style & new way of thinking in dealing with pain and turning it into a positive for others & myself in finding happiness & purpose.
Having an active family we vacationed in many of places and enjoyed many of life’s adventures & play areas. New Years 2006 my family among thousands of other families camped out in the desert called the Imperial California sand dunes on the state lines of California & Arizona. This place was one of our favorite pass times for riding our off road vehicles, traveling up and down the sand dunes or just watching others play in what I refere to as a giant sand box. This evening it was decided to put all the toys away and jump into our four wheel drive truck and see the night life & ring in the new year from the top of the dunes. Traveling a path we had traveled many times over and even the night before at speeds of crawling we attempted a couple of times to reach the top of a smaller dune to proceed to yet one other dune to our final destination. The difference in this evenings travel was the winds changed and little to our knowledge the other side of the dune was not going to be there for us. There is no forgiveness or ability to break or maneuver in sand leaving us at the mercy of God and the experience of driving to the driver and although he did his best the most experienced driver couldn’t stop a 3 ton vehicle from continuing forward for which rolled several times over until we reached the bottom. In the violent rolling over and over the windows were blown out where Nicole was ejected from the window seat she had occupied and the truck continued to roll to a resting spot in the cold & darkness of the desert. Although the vehicle never touched her & she did not pass away at the scene she had internal trama leaving her with only 10% of her liver. We were flown in a black hawk helicopter from Yuma Arizona to Phoenix where she passed in flight. I have a closure not most mothers have and this is, I experienced life’s full circle as I was there on her 1st & last breath. Although my tears are my own the memories are a life time. We shared many mother & daughter experiences for which keep my heart comforted & her spirit alive within me.

Carl David

Suicide claims more than a million lives each year and leaves more than five million to mourn them. It knows no boundaries; not age, gender, color, race or nationality. It’s victims are drawn by drugs, depression, disease, sexual confusion, bullying, peer pressures, feelings of desperation and immeasurable levels of inadequacy. Teens and young adults are especially vulnerable. The only way to thwart this unforgiving beast is to confront it by raising levels of awareness so that it is spoken about rather than looking the other way, fueling the veil of shame and secrecy that keeps it thriving and killing innocent people. That is why he has come forward with his story….he is no stranger to this violent game changing act.
At just 16 years old one of his older brothers took his life. He had barely begun to live at only twenty-two years. Their idyllic 1960′s family was blindsided as their world darkened in an instant. No clues, no note, just the recurring timeless nightmare that stained their vision as they searched and delved for answers. Would it matter, he was gone and no discovery would bring him back. The act was final. Any answers would perhaps have given clarity but still to no means of recovery. The effects were devastating, beyond definable description. They had only two choices; to pull together as a family or tear each other apart. They chose the former and used every bit of strength to rebuild their lives. The challenges were monumental as every day was day one. They had to start over with each sunrise because the aftereffects were so persistent and the pain so ever present that at times it seemed insurmountable. They wondered if they would ever be able to move forward and regain some semblance of life.
Carl is here today to share his journey and shed light on this heinous act that steals lives randomly. His experience has taken him on a path of paying it forward by reaching out to those on that edge of desperation to let them know they are not alone, that they are loved and that there is help for them. He also wants to comfort those who have lived a similar life altering event and let them know that they will survive.
Born in Philadelphia, Carl David is the third descendant of a four-generation art dealer family specializing in American and European nineteenth and twentieth century paintings, watercolors and drawings.
Carl earned a Bachelor of Arts with a degree in business in 1970 from OglethorpeCollegein Atlanta, Georgia. Bader Field is his second published book. He is also the author of Collecting and Care of Fine Art published by Crown Publishers (1981). His article “Martha Walter” appeared in the May 1978 issue of American Art Review.
Mr. David was a charter member of Sotheby’s.com (New York), and is a member of the Art and Antique Dealers League, and La Confederation Internationale De Negotiants En Oeuvres D’Art. He has served as judge for The Manayunk Art Show, co-chairman of the gallery committee member of Rittenhouse Row, guest auctioneer for WHYY, and panel member for The Art News World Art Market (New York). Carl has been involved with The Friends of Rittenhouse Square, The Free Appraisal Clinic, The Philadelphia Art Museum, The Dealer’s Committee for US Artists, and Rittenhouse Row.
Jenny Lynn Anderson

In 1990, Jenny Lynn Anderson, a hospital public relations executive, was attending a three-day national convention in Atlanta, Georgia. It was the second night of the conference for Jenny Lynn that she stepped from her hotel Room 939, dressed and ready to meet an editor for a business dinner. But in a matter of seconds, she was captured and assaulted at knife point by a man who dragged her back into 939, robbed and sexually molested her. The assailant escaped and was never caught, leaving this bright and talented 28 year old imprisoned in a chamber of fright, anxiety and fear for the next twenty years.
The attack lasted but fifteen minutes. Anderson says there is no doubt the night would have ended in her death had it not been for an angel miraculously appearing at the door.
Jenny Lynn survived the traumatic event, but it took two decades for the debut author to find the courage to write her book, “Room 939: 15 Minutes of Horror, 20 Years of Healing.”
In it, she is fully transparent and leaves nothing behind as she exposes in vivid detail the years of post traumatic stress, heartache, anger, despair, unforgiveness and depression. Her writing is compelling as she leaves no door unopened, explaining in two plot lines the eight years it took her to forgive and the remaining twelve to realize full rehabilitation she could not do on her own.
Room 939 is about our human tendency to take care of business on our own and become so self-reliant and “self-fixers” to never consider for one second there is a Savior who can help.

Ben Munoz

In 2006, shortly after graduating from Stanford University and Kellogg School of Management, Ben Munoz suffered a rare type of stroke caused by an arteriovenuous malformation (AVM), which is an abnormal tangle of veins and arteries. He was 29 at the time.
While he made it through the stroke, he still had to undergo surgery and recovery from the operation which will take two years to heal. Alone and with a lot of time on his hands, Ben thought about connecting with other patients who suffered from the same affliction.
So, in 2007, Ben and his friend Scott Orn realized what an impact a compassionate community could make in the life of a patient and began creating more patient communities for people with other rare diseases. Thus, Ben’s Friends was born, a mission driven company that launches patient support communities for people affected by rare diseases.
Today, after merely four years, Ben’s Friends has launched 31 rare disease patient support communities, with more being prepped up before the end of 2012. The number of members rose to 18,000 with the potential of building up as seen in the more than 110,000 site visits the sites are attracting globally.
This mission has pushed Ben to studying medicine while he advocates for awareness on rare diseases and support for patients. As a true social entrepreneur, he realizes the need to run the organization in a business-like manner. With a team of site moderators, web designers and content managers, Ben’s Friends is living up to their mission of providing support for rare disease patients worldwide. Jill Douglas

On January, 21, 2006 my husband Terry and I were enjoying a relaxing couples massage during a romantic getaway and five hours later we were experienced 15 terrifying minutes of uncertainty as to whether we would live or die. Our single engine plane had suddenly lost all its power.
In those moments of uncertainty, flashing before me was my life… What had I done? What would I miss? And most importantly what was the meaning of those blue eyes that superimposed themselves over Terry’s eyes … minutes before we crashed?
The physical and emotional healing was intense, humbling and gratifying while the spiritual path that I had been catapulted onto was certainly uplifting and unfamiliar to me. All my life my soul had been gently nudging me towards my true purpose, now it was hitting me over the head with the message of … love more. Have less. Simplify your life. Love and forgive others and myself unconditionally.
This true story is of my spiritual transformation that took me from having the illusion that all my material accomplishments was all there was for a fulfilling life; to knowing that life was and had already been planned for me, by me, well before I incarnated into this body. Surviving this plane crash was only a catalyst towards me fulfilling my true purpose in life. Being 47 now widowed and starting over was a daunting task. My faith was about to be tested big time. For from tragedy comes triumph. Having found the owner of “those eyes” I know I have more work and a much higher purpose in life to fulfill. It took a life threatening and frightening plane crash to make me see the truth… my plane truth. It’s truly been a humbling experience and one I consider o be a gift and not a tragedy. The hardest part was simply looking in the mirror and uncovering all my masks that I had thought were protecting me, but in fact were keeping me from knowing my true self.

Kirsten Helle- Chef Kirsten

Hi, my name is Kirsten, I’m a personal chef and nutrition consultant who loves to help families “Bring More Life To Their Table!” Having lost over 100 pounds and transforming my life by utilizing my knowledge about nutrition and passion for cooking….I now want to help others reach their goals also – whether they be shedding excess pounds, cutting out processed foods to live a healthier life or simply helping you bring delicious, healthy meals to your family.
I was overweight for most of my life. As a young mother and wife, I felt unhappy, disappointed with myself and living a life less than I deserved. I had tried diet after diet, spent thousands of dollars on every possible way to lose weight. I had began thinking about gastric bypass surgery. I felt stuck in an abusive marriage and got through life just….dealing with it all.
One day I had my breakthrough, my “aha” moment. From that moment on I decided to love myself enough to take care of myself. Love myself as I was right then and there, making the decision that from then on I WAS healthy. I WAS beautiful. I was going to be a positive role model for my daughter so she would be healthy too and never live a life less than she deserved. Every single day I did become healthier. Weight came off for the first time in my life. I began to see life in a whole new light. I eventually lost over 100 pounds and I’ve kept it off for over 5 years. I feel proud of the example I’m setting for my kids. Now I help others eat healthier and enjoy every bite of amazing, nourishing, delicious food. I want to let you know that I understand what it feels like to feel like it can’t happen for you, like you are trapped in a body that isn’t meant for you. It isn’t about getting skinny or fitting into a bikini – it is about focusing on being healthy – your excess weight will come off if you do! I believe in balance. In enjoying pure healthy food – and being able to eat birthday cake at a birthday party without any guilt! I want to let you know that it CAN happen. You CAN be healthy and live a vibrant life. With the proper tools – which we will give you – you can begin to live the life of your dreams also! The first step is to love yourself enough to make your health a priority. I am so happy to be on this journey with you!
